About my Floating Frames
Made to order floating frames are for the budget conscious made from NZ natural pine. I sand them ready for you to stain, paint and varnish to suit your work.
They come in various depth profiles to suit my art boards and standard 1.5" deep edge canvas sizes.
For canvas and frame sets, I can supply various standard sizes (deep edge) up to 48”x48” 1219x1219mm with natural pine floating frame.
Floating frames also known as Tray frames add value to a naked canvas art work, helping with sales and an overall finished clean look. GJ Works floating frames are affordable compared to frame shops, made locally with care.

Stain colours available
Whitewash - Pitch Black - Deep Oak - Dark Ebony
Satin varnish finish oil based (polyurethane). *Please note that Polyurethane adds a slight amber warmth to the overall stain.
All stains and varnishes are carefully trialled and selected from Resene.
All frames are prepared and finished by hand.
Disclaimer: wood stain finishes may have potential variations in colour and finish due to the natural characteristics of wood, differences in grain, application method, and lighting conditions. I take extra care to prepare and finish the wood with the most consistent result.
